Skills and Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Familiarity with dental software, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to handle a professional environment and prioritize tasks according to their importance.
- Implement excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Effectively use the internet including management of emails and attachments.
- Dental practice experience desired but not required.
- Answer the phone and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle the caller's needs yourself.
- Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in, and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data.
- Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents.
- Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.
- Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on doctor availability.
- Maintain accurate digital patient records.
- Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and help them schedule referral. appointments when appropriate.
- Provide patients with support and guidance as needed.
Our growing practice needs a rover that can handle front and back-office responsibilities with a greater emphasis in the front office. As our receptionist, you will be responsible for answering phones in a friendly manner, coordinating doctor and patient schedules, managing patient finance and treatment plans to understand dental insurance. The receptionist will also assist with sterilization, room set up, and breakdown. We are looking for a full-time professional who believes that patients should be treated like family, and understands the value of quality, whole-person care. If you are currently working as a dental assistant and are interested in transitioning more to a front desk position, this would be a great opportunity. Compensation DOE with potential for benefits and bonuses.
